Let me propose that while a core TWW2 race is being revisited, perhaps that's for the FLC lord and not the Lord Pack. Perhaps the TWW2 race that opposes the Wood Elves is not, in fact, a base game race. Perhaps it's the Vampire Coast or the Tomb Kings, such as...

Prince Apophas!

Laugh if you want, but CA is known to want to include the character, only being held back by technical execution. Well, maybe they have it down, and we'll get Prince Apophas, some Tomb Swarms (because if they have Apophas down, Tomb Swarms - and other swarms for other factions - should be very doable), Necrotects, and whatever else the Tomb Kings are missing.
