Worried college student - what should I expect my lifestyle to be like?

If you lower your rent, your quality of life will go dramatically up. I graduated in 2020 (undergrad) / 2021 (masters), and I’m currently making $120k base w/ about $20k in stocks vested per year. I graduated with $110k in student loans ($40k fed, $70k private). I’m fortunate that I’m down to $65k ($25k private) by semi-aggressively paying the last 2 yrs. This was all possible because of my low rent ($800 per month). If you move to Brooklyn or a non-Manhattan borough, u can get a 1 Bed for $2500 or less, meaning that you’ll be able to put hundreds more towards your loans per month. And, tbh, the culture will likely be better than living in Manhattan. Also: something that has helped me a lot is putting all stock/bonus money towards my student loans. I still travel and get a high quality of life, and low rent and no car make a huge difference in being able to have that opportunity.
