Would Bumblebee Last?

Absolutely, and I'm not just saying that because I ship it like the Executor.

Yang:

Yang is reckless when it comes to protecting herself. She would sacrifice herself in a heartbeat if it meant the safety of her team. Recklessness aside, she also has a powerful maternal instinct. When asked, Yang said that she prefers to live in the moment and that not being able to predict what the future holds is a good thing and she has a troubled past that is nowhere near resolution. That being said, she is a first-born (to her and Ruby anyway), meaning that she probably has some of the qualities of a first born (leader, aggressive, people-pleasers, have a strong need for approval from others?, protective).

Because of this, she would probably be looking for someone that can give that approval they need (first born qualities), someone that she feels she can protect (protective instinct), someone that has less experience than she does (natural leader), someone that agrees with her humor (people pleaser), someone that can understand her past and help her work through it, and someone that will watch her back while she's busy risking it all (recklessness).

Blake:

Saying that Blake is different than Yang is a massive understatement, but not in a bad way.

Blake is reserved when it comes to showing emotion and both calm and collected. She also shows the most capacity for logical thought. It appears that she cares deeply for those who take the time to befriend her. She also has a reckless side and she isn't afraid to speak up when she feels strongly about something which often leads her into bad situations. She was probably expected to mature quickly due to her past in the White Fang and she is more cold and impassioned because of the same reasons. When asked, Blake said that she is fed up with running from all of her problems and that she wants to make up for all of her wrongdoings and start facing her problems. We can only assume (for now) that Blake is an only child (at least with the people she grew up with) meaning that she probably has some of the qualities of an only child (responsible, perfectionist, leader, aggressive, need for approval from others, protective, works well with their elders).

Because of this, she would probably be looking for someone that can demonstrate emotion and relation skills, someone that thinks rationally, someone that cares for her unquestionably, someone to watch her back and hold her back when she starts to go overboard, someone that can show her immaturity and passion in order to bring out emotions in her, someone that can help her stand up to her problems and back her up 100% of the way, someone that can respect her and is also deserving of her respect, someone that has less experience than she does, and someone that she feels she can protect.

I'd personally consider anything above an 80% to be a solid match, so Bumblebee fits pretty well.

As for the human aspect, I don't think that Yang will just put up with Blake's lack of emotion, I think she'll do something like in Volume 2 Episode 6 where she sought out the problem and did what she could to fix it, and for fear of losing Blake to a depressive spiral, she wouldn't dare stop the constant affection. She cares too much to hurt any member of her team like that.

I have a feeling that Blake needs someone like Yang in her life, whether she knows it yet or not. I honestly think that she (along with the rest of RWBY) will almost find Yang's "rambunctiousness" endearing after enough time with her. It will take some time for Blake to warm up, but in a way she already has and I believe she will continue to grow closer to her team. Now about entertaining Yang, that won't happen naturally. It will take a good bit of effort on Blake's part and a bit of patience on Yang's part, but if both of them realize what they could potentially have, then I believe they'll work through it together.

There isn't any need for a slow appreciation, it's already there. It's been there since they met again in the Emerald Forest.

There are two possible complications that I see with the relationship. Both tend to take huge risks that constantly put themselves in danger, which would be a huge emotional strain on their partner. Both also have hair-trigger tempers, but each one can usually calm the other down - meaning that as long as both don't get angry at the same time, they'll be fine.
