Evolutionary theory does not address the beginning of life, that's called abiogenesis. And the best we have about that really are educated guesses, like scientifically illiterate people often think a theory is.

So if you want to believe that god made those first cells, I really don't have much to argue against you. Except for the fact that that just seems like a cheap cop out. Aren't you curious to know what really happened? Why would you just say "God did it!" to explain away every question instead of trying to learn more about it? Darwin was studying to be clergy. Mendel was a monk. The guy who proposed the big bang was a priest. They stayed curious.

I have no idea what you mean by a "useless" animal, or what you were trying to say about intelligence there. Without our endothermic metabolism, it would be impossible to devote so much energy to your brain. Animals have only been evolving for 665 million years, vertebrates for 520, warm-blooded vertebrates for 315 million. However, chimps, dolphins, and ravens are all highly intelligent. And animals can be successful without being intelligent, so I don't even see how this is relevant.

And your second paragraph....please let this be a joke. The ONLY reason to not believe in evolution is if it conflicts with your preconceived religious notions. Many religious people so realize that evolution is real though.
