Wyoming wants to phase out sales of EVs by 2035 to “ensure the stability” of the oil & gas industry

That’s what I was thinking. Car companies like all companies want to move most product for least amount of money.

The population of California, Washington, Oregon, and New York is over 70.7 million and likely to grow between now and 2035. Wyoming is 581,381 and barely grew. Won’t be surprised if more liberal states join in between now and then (like Hawaii, Massachusetts, and Vermont) and also ban sale of ICE vehicles at same time.

To put into more perspective, the population of New York City alone is more than 14.5x larger than the whole state of Wyoming.

While some manufacturers might be willing to make a gas model for Wyoming, most won’t bother and instead just not sell new vehicles in Wyoming.
