X-post from /r/Diablo - March 5th leaderboard snapshots - stats proving Weak state of solo WDs / int classes in s2

The fundamental flaw imo with the argument of "don't compare to other classes" is that it's valid if there is a relatively small gap. The fact that on average there is a 7 level gap between the top and bottom classes is a problem. I mean, if you want to create an average from the other classes combined to see how far behind we are compared to the other classes on average, it equates to 5. This to me at least needs some tweaking. If there was a 2-3 level gap between the highest and lowest, that's fine with me. That's expected given the variety of different classes and builds, which honestly D3 lacks as a whole.

Comparing to other classes is not like apples to oranges because they're not entirely separate of each other in this kind of game and needs to be balanced relatively equal of each other. That's not to say that all classes should be able to clear the same level of rifts solo and that they should all be able to perform every function in a group. What it means is that all classes should be relatively equal to each other. Sure some classes may excel more than others at certain aspects, that should be expected and encourages for class and build diversity, however it should be no where near the gap it is now.

WDs are underpowered when it comes to everything end game except for support builds imo. Literally every class does what we can do late game but better, which is fine except on the level that it's occurring. We are well outside what should be expected for class differences. Yes, we have the most varied builds in a game that unfortunately kills build diversity. It enables us to have a much more comfortable early and mid game, which all classes should have, but destroys us late game outside of zDPS, which completely takes away the argument of build diversity.

Hopefully 2.2 addresses a lot of the delicate class balance issues as a whole and specifically for the Int classes, who are by far the worst off classes in the game atm. It's a new season and the difference between classes as it is now is not unexpected considering they implemented quite a bit of new changes for the new season and this is part of the testing process for it. Now it falls to the community to bring up these issues in a logical and mild manner rather than take one extreme or the other - Aka whine for massive buffs due to feeling weak or State that everything is fine as is because you can't compare to other classes - and provide Blizzard the information and data they need to bring this imbalance into relative balance.
