We went backpacking and camping in the Sequoia national park a few years ago. It was my first time camping and I was super excited. The hiking trails were fantastic, the views were great, and I was having an awesome time.

We set up camp in the evening and were finishing up dinner after a grueling day of hike when a black bear casually walked into our campsite, taking us by surprise. I'm guessing it smelt the food and stopped by.

Anyway, we loudly banged pots and pans to make lot of noise. The bear just stood there staring at us for a while and then calmly walked away. I was so rattled. I couldn't sleep a wink that night, worried it would come back. Thankfully it didn't.

Anyway, I'll never forget that incident! :)
