Hey! I just read your post. If you are still interested in finding someone with whom to chitchat, I would like to throw myself out there. My name is Dan and I'm 23.
As for me- I have several interests. Movies are a particular favorite of mine. Typically classics but I have found myself swept up in several of the large franchises being released lately, such as Star Wars, the MCU, and the DCCU. Along with classic film, I have found my interest in jazz expanding. Exploring such a long-lived and diverse genre like jazz is a lot of fun. Plus here in Portland, we have a great community sponsored jazz radio station. Although I have found that even in a place like this, its hard to find good jazz shows. I'm also always building my own vinyl collection. Additionally, I love doing things with my hands. Building things and accomplishing things is so rewarding. Currently, I don't have any projects going but a friend of mine is supposed to buy a school bus, which we plan to convert in a tiny house. On top of that, I have been gearing up for a huge home remodel in which we will be doubling the square footage of the top level of the house, adding solar panels, and doing a handful of cosmetic changes. I'm a bit of a nut about DIY and renovations. I love it all and will often stream programs like This Old House while I am doing other things.
Uhh.. More about me. I recently graduated from university with majors in both accounting and finance. Unfortunately, I haven't found a full time position yet, but I am working for myself as a business consultant. I do things like filing paperwork with the government, research competitor pricing, establish storefronts, and even help work these startups. I have been involved in a food cart, a dog physical therapy facility, an amalgam recycler, a computer repair shop, and starting in January, an antique shop. On top of this, I am also a volunteer tax preparer. I work with a national organization to help prepare tax returns for low income families and elderly people. This year they are even giving me my own site at a neighborhood community center. Helping people get larger refunds is also very rewarding!
