Yup yup yup. I have a similar quite extreme reduction of adhd and ptsd symptoms on keto and my therapist has brought up this same point about inflammation in particular.
It’s helped me be a bit less strict and obsessive bc a day here or there with more carbs won’t bring my symptoms fully back. when I feel my symptoms getting worse I’m able to identify something I can control to get back to baseline. Instead of sinking further into it I run through my checklist: how have I been eating lately? How much sleep have I gotten? Have I been getting enough movement in?
I tend to avoid considering it a cure and more a management strategy / I no longer feel doomed for the rest of my life lol
