[2e] Special Actions that are mutually exclusive don't encourage tactical choice, they discourage it

I still don't agree. I just don't see how Power Attack and Sudden Charge are competing with each other, and I don't see why you would always pick one over the other. They don't fill the same niche at all, in fact they are doing two totally different things. If you take Sudden Charge and then only take feats that augment it, you will be a one-trick pony who isn't that effective at anything but closing distance quickly to attack. It's like a caster who focuses so strongly on one spell that he's much less useful in any situation that doesn't call for that specific spell. I'd rather have an arsenal of different options and use the right one for the situation than only do one thing well.
