Aaaand now I see why there is so much dislike for Kruskal.

Since you want to continue this I am going to point out that you are dodging my question. On the last question of an exam(or any question) is it fair to expect students to use up all of their time having the question explained to them? Or does it simply make way more sense to ask a question that students should be able to easily understand?

This isn't even going into the fact that it's actually way mroe complicated than that. Most students take some personal responsibility in understanding the question THEIRSELVES, because they have an expectation that the question is reasonably understandable. Which really is the main reason I didn't raise my hand and say "explain this entire thing to me". Because I have literally never had a question that is so difficult to understand, and it makes no sense to write one like that. And then, by the time I realized, "oh yep this question actually is that ridiculous", it was too late. But somehow that's my fault, not the guy who wrote the question that most of the students couldn't even understand.
