To the douchebag in the purple Mercedes

Sorry I typed that fast.

Car-centric infrastructure is bad. Like in NYC, the average speed of a car is 4.7 mph. People can powerwalk at a speed of 4.3-4.6 mph, so driving is really barely faster.

And, driving this car for two miles (3.2 km) produces 0.88 kg carbon dioxide – as much as we produce by breathing all day! (What if the car could travel twice as far per gallon?)

Cars produce so much CO2 and the population only increases, so if you have car-centric infrastructure, then congestion and emissions can only increase because the population increases non-linearly. And we already need to cut down on emissions to slow global warming.
