Abandoned at 17 - new beginning for an elderly cat

I shouldn't have watched this :(...

I gave my grandparents a little kitten when I was younger. They instantly fell in love and the cat lived with them for 12 long years. He was all my grandparents would ever talk about.

My grandparents grew older and developed more serious health problems, enough of them that they could no longer live on their own. My grandparents didn't want to live in a nursing home and my aunt volunteered to have them live with her--except she was allergic to cats. I pleaded with her that there were medications that were available. She accused me of "putting a cat's life before my parents."

My grandpa brought his cat over to his neighbor's house (who was quite accustomed to him since he would visit all the neighbors) and the neighbor volunteered to take him in. The cat was 12 years old and incredibly healthy, he was always out and about and just so full of life.

Well, the heart and joy of my grandparents' lives went missing after a week. My grandma still mentioned how much she missed him until her dying days.
