CMV: taxes should be higher on the rich and low on the poor

I make $24,960 gross income and pay 15% tax already, leaving me with $21,216 net income on a full time job. I'd say it's still a fair tax. It sucks, but it's fair. I'm fresh out of college on an entry level job reaching one years experience in my field. With $16K in debt and paying rent under my parent's roof. I plan on paying that off in two short years.

What am I gonna do to change my situation? I'll find a secondary job doing something part-time. I'm gonna bust my ass and get experience to obtain a raise. If my employer doesn't give me the raise I need to live comfortably, I'll leave and find another job. Supply and demand.

Once I work my way up I don't wanna have to pay more taxes. My father got a raise last year and ended up making less money because he hit the next tax bracket.

You should be rewarded for working harder, not penalized and have your earnings given to the poor. I believe in making my own way. Nothing is free. It shouldn't be given to you. (I'm not saying we shouldn't help the poor.)

Taxes of just 15% shouldn't be used as an excuse by the poor to justify their unfortunate circumstances. Life isn't fair, that's why you fight for what you want. Me not having to pay any taxes won't help my current living situation much, it's just 15¢ to the dollar.
