I was admitted to the hospital because I couldn’t get my blood sugar under control. 33 weeks pregnant, t2. This is what they want to feed me lol

If you can’t get someone else to bring you better outside food tonight, then tell them that is not suitable ASAP. Maybe the kitchen is still open, and they can bring you a chicken salad instead. Find the friendly nurses who care enough to get you what you want.

And look for the menu now for tomorrow, if you’re gonna be there further, and circle exactly what you want, and write substitute instructions on it.

Howard U Hospital was just like that: diabetes friendly is sugar-free beverage and no other changes unless you ask. But GW Hospital had very strict selection of menu choices for diabetes patients. Couldn’t get the kitchen to give you anything but the asterisk items. Depends what hospital you are in.
