Adults of reddit who lead satisfying and financially stable jobs without college degrees, how did you do it?

1- Depends on the government job. Some positions pay peanuts for sure, some don't. My job originally started at $14, other areas start anywhere between $16 and $20. I've literally been working for 14 months, I applied for a different area after getting done experience (that I volunteered for) I make $28 an hour. 2- Not true. They don't that anymore, haven't for a long time, at least in my state. You apply, a computer determines whether or not your resume matches the job description, interviewers then have a strict form to follow in regards to ranking based on experience.

Really, if you want it, you can have it. The problem is too many people want to be "just acceptable". You have to take initiative.
