After decades of being jealous of my brother...I, as a 30+ year old woman, can finally hold my own online!

Nothing really, just that it seems like all the boys I know have been playing online first persons shooters for a lot longer than I have. Games were fairly new when I was growing up. First games I played were on PC (Doom and Wolfenstein, Oregon trail, Sim City, etc.) and original Nintendo. Shoot em up games weren't really marketed to girls so my brother always got them for beats/xmas. I got games like Spyro and Crash Bandicoot growing up so I just never got very good at first person shooters. When online gaming became a thing I would occasionally play split screen with my brother and I would just get murdered, and him and his friends would play and get crazy high scores.

As an adult I've played mostly nerdy PC games (Civilization, Sims, etc) but as games got more graphics intensive I had to decide...buy a $1,000+ gaming PC or get an Xbox One. I played the shit out of Skyrim...then moved up to Fallout which has a little shooting but not a ton (I like to scavenge/hoard/build stuff in games). So I decided to give Battlefield 1 a try...and this is the result of countless hours getting absolutely steamrolled online. When I first started I would get like 3 kills for 28 deaths, or worse.
