I had something similar happen at that age - two of my best friends started icing me out. It was a complete surprise to me and it felt like it came out of nowhere. I think sometimes it happens because they develop some kind of narrative about you - ‘she’s a bad friend’ or ‘she thinks she’s better than us.’ This could stem from jealousy or a perceived slight. Regardless of what it is, it’s not something you can do anything about. It sucks, they have decided to walk away from your friendship without any explanation. And it’s painful.

Would the same thing have happened if it was just one friend? I doubt it.

NTA and I’m sorry that this happened to you. It’s easy to blame yourself and look for answers in trying to figure out what happened, but sometimes these things happen and we simply don’t know why.
