School drop-off was a nightmare

As far as I was aware, transmission is minimal outside, but only when basic social distancing is observed? I’m not sure I’ve read that it remains minimal when large groups are face-to-face, within a few inches of each other. I thought there had already been examples of outdoor events that have been traced back as outbreaks.

97% - 99% of traced transmission events are linked to indoor settings.

Thanks - that is interesting. I had no idea it was that high. Do you have a source for that?

In addition to that children are allowed to touch or hugs within their class bubble.

Yes, I’m not against them going back and the bubbles are a great idea, which is why I think lessening the chance of cross-contact outside of bubbles doesn’t make sense.

I would expect teachers to act as stewards, as that is what they regularly do in the morning, and they are the ones most in time with the schools policies, so it’s not unreasonable for them to ask parents to disperse.
