AITA for not wanting to help pay for my child's University fees?

NTA.

Regarding tuition help. I don't feel that it's your responsibility. What country are you in? Are you in the states? If you are, then your state university may offer help for low income students. But, you may be wise to find out.

As and example, her in Wisconsin, The University of Wisconsin offers Bucky’s Tuition Promise
Bucky’s Tuition Promise is a commitment to Wisconsin resident students.
The program guarantees scholarships and grants to pay for tuition & segregated fees for students whose household adjusted gross income (AGI) is $65,000 or less. Incoming first-year students will receive eight (8) consecutive semesters (4 years) of free tuition & segregated fees and new transfer students will receive four (4) semesters (2 years).

It's possible that your state university offers something similar. Good luck to you.
