As a society the majority of us (especially people who use this sub) have decided that something being harmful/insulting/sexist/racist overrules the fact that it's accurate. You can't flip flop between taking context and feelings into consideration when it benefits you and dealing in cold hard facts when feelings when it feelings and empathy would be a hindrance.

In more simple terms if you either feel no gender/race should be generalized in a negative way or you don't. There's room for nuance but at the end if it upsets you when your group is criticized or painted in a poor light even when it's accurate then turning around and doing the same thing to others makes is disgustingly hypocritical and does reflect poorly on your character.
