AITA for telling my girlfriend I was sick of paying for her to visit her OBGYN when there’s nothing wrong with her?

After my third kid, my bladder fell out (about 8 weeks later). Two docs told me the feeling that something was falling out was all n my head.

It felt weird and my pee stream was off kilter before it fell out.

When something fell out, I pushed it back in and frickin' stood on my head.

I was getting on a plane the next day to go to my home town. So I just kept everything in place as best I could.

ONce back home I went to an good friend who'd been a midwife for 25 years, she also had her own ultrasound machine.

She found the tear in my pelvic floor, showed me that it was bladder that had popped through. BUt that I had done a pretty good job of putting it back. She talked me through using a pessary device and ordered one.

She also explained that ob/gyns use the speculum in the usual up and down position and it props up the upper pelvic floor so they don't see the damage, unless they actual listen to the patient and put then in sideways to double check.

THat was 18 years ago. It took about a year of not straining , changing the way I sneeze, and doing a tons of kegels.

It did heal completely though. I had four kids after that with no issues and now have crazy strong muscles. I'm going on 50 now, have had 7 kids and having no issues at all with leaking urine or any other symptoms.

BUT OP YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO HER.

FIND a DIFFERENT DOC or MIDWIFE
