AITA for telling my family to stop being disturbing and overly mushy

NAH - your step mom shouldn't have yelled because yelling is just useless, but she has a point. Getting on a sleep schedule and eating right will do nothing but HELP your depression, especially the sleep schedule. I know this is hard to do but the best way to start is by waking up at the same time every day no matter when you fell asleep. It's really hard and it may suck for awhile but it is incredibly important for your mental health.

I'm not calling you an asshole because while I think you were a bit callous and cruel, I get where you are coming from.

I'm going with NAH instead of ESH because I don't think either of you are being intentionally mean to each other, it just sounds like you both could use some communication skills.
