Alexandre Bissonnette now the sole suspect in Quebec City shooting

Colion Noir talks about how to combat these issues, and violence (especially gun violence) a lot in his videos. These are people issues. I come on reddit and I actually feel fortunate that this anonymity has let people vent their anger at each other because it has shown me what I believe the real issues with society are.

You have people who hate the left, they take the extremes like the woman who wants the male population reduced to 10% of the population, or the entitled children seeking safe spaces and censorship of speech, and these people view it as an attack on their way of life. Then you have the left label them as racists, or Alt-right and threaten to take away their jobs and lively hoods if they say the wrong thing, or don't tow the party line.

Then you have the left. They see the extremes in the right, like the Rebel, or Milo Yianopowhatever, who say inflammatory things, because it's inflammatory. The left then shout "fascist! racist!" only further convincing these people that the left wants to destroy their lives. The right calls them feminazi's or cucks, and further alienates the left from their point of view.

Hell, it's happening in this very comment thread the last comment I read before yours was something like "Just another Alt-right neckbeard" Like that kind of language is conducent to starting a dialogue with the other side.

Both of these groups are a small but vocal minority in what is a larger society of far more moderate people. Thanks to the internet however and dwindling social events, people on both sides find an echo chamber of like minded individuals and help whip each other into a frenzy of us versus them.

As a society we need to stop finding our friends online, and only interacting with those who agree with us. A great example form my personal life. I'm a gun enthusiast, I love guns especially my tactical AR 15, or my Tacticool SKS. I'm also a freemason, and I love to talk guns with the brothers at my lodge. Being the youngest guy at my lodge by easily 25 years, I deal mostly with either the old Fudds who think a wooden bolt action rifle is all you need, or the ex cops who think only police need guns. Guess what? I've had to learn how to deal with them and their opposing viewpoints because that's how people should act towards each other. Respectful even if you disagree.

As long as we stay hidden behind our screens and only interact with those who agree with us we will never grow as individuals, and as we stunt our personal growth, we stunt societal growth until eventually, you have people who hate each other. People who honestly think the other side is just a bunch of ignorant fools intent on destroying their personal way of life.

People need to get out and join groups, but not feminist marches, or the Sons of Odin (I mean sure, absolutely do that too but that cannot be all you do or else you're not expanding). Join groups, like your local legion, women of the eastern star, lions/lionesses clubs, sports teams, whatever! Just start interacting with people!

That's how we combat these issues, that's how we combat violence, radicalization, the growing divide between each other. The discussion will happen naturally, when we interact with each other.
