All four Ontario teacher unions now engaged in job action as talks with province stall

I see a lot of ignorant people in this thread and I’m going to chime in.

For the new conservative accounts popping up spewing the same conservative brainwash bullshit

Just know that teachers aren’t striking because they want a pay increase as the main point of their protest. Out of a list of 10 things they are looking for. Getting a pay increase is literally number 11. I rather not reply to the obvious scumbag spewing fake uneducated facts because then that would validate his goal so I’ll post this on its own.

They are looking to primarily have class sizes reduced in order to be able to focus on helping a variety of different student needs better.

more resources for students with special needs

Protecting the kindergarten program which is literally on top of its game, and recognized around the world.

reduction of violent incidents and ensuring that board initiatives and programs that are in place to help combat school violence are kept funded.

Ensuring that hiring practices are kept fair

Ensuring that DECE, OTs, professional support staff and educational personnel are also looked after

The list goes on. I’m not a teacher, but I have family who are and I’ve seen the list of things that the union is trying to sit down and negotiate with the government.

If you ever meet a teacher complaining about not being paid enough it’s likely because he or she doesn’t know how to financially take care of themselves.

But it’s fine the newly made troll account likely doesn’t have kids and likely doesn’t have a piece in the game, if they do have kids and talk like this they might as well look their kid in the eye and tell them they don’t care about their education.

Don’t believe the media and don’t believe your long standing family values of being a deep rooted conservative for reasons you can’t even state anymore because you never knew them to begin with.

Stand in the middle of for once and look at both sides with clear eyes.

The government hasn’t even scheduled talks for months.

But they are okay with spending $60 a student to compensate for families having to get a babysitter

But they won’t put that $60 into the education system?

Ass backwards
