Anthony Furey: As Mayor of Toronto, I will halt the plans for new dedicated bike lanes on Bloor West, Sheppard Ave, Eglinton Ave and Kingston Rd and dismantle the posts on University Ave.

As a pedestrian, the only times cyclists are a nuisance to me is when they're riding on the sidewalk (wonder why they're riding on the sidewalk...) I would be interested in cycling, but will never do it in Toronto because of the hazards from bad drivers.

Cars feel like the biggest everyday threat to me. I've almost been hit by them multiple times and when I yell at them, they honk at me. Yup, my fault you turned the corner without looking on pedestrian walk signal. I've also been a witness to not one but two incidents where a car t-boned a cyclist.

Get rid of car lanes, not bike lanes. Happy to have cars for accessibility purposes but beyond that? Hard to like them.
