It's almost the new year! What one thing would you encourage your fellow vegans to do as a resolution?

/u/lnfinity here:

During the second half of 2014 I had been using reddit to reply to comments about veganism and animal rights. I had amassed about 10k comment karma during that time, and I was pretty happy that the information I was spreading was getting a positive reaction from so many people. I felt like there was still room to do more though.

I had done a lot of leafleting in the past with groups like Vegan Outreach and Action For Animals, and in total I have probably passed out literature to around 100,000 people. For 2015 I wanted to try to reach 1,000,000 people using reddit, and I figured that 100,000 karma would be about 1,000,000 people reached. Shortly before the new year I posted a gif that became really popular, and I found out from imgur that it received 3.3 million views (and about 4,000 karma), so it turned out I had vastly underestimated the number of views, but I still decided that 100,000 karma would be my goal for 2015.

I had no idea how I would reach such a huge number, but I committed myself to making a reasonable effort to find a few things each day and share them.

I was blown away by how receptive reddit was to my posts. By the end of March I had reached my goal of 100,000 karma. By the beginning of July the content I shared on reddit had been viewed 100,000,000 times. It looks like I will reach about 700,000 karma for the year, and the content that I have shared will receive over 200,000,000 views.

One of my goals for 2016 is to get more vegans involved in animal rights activism. If 100 people from /r/vegan set a similar goal for themselves as I set last year the impact will blow what I've done out of the water. I hope some of you will make this one of your New Years resolutions.
