Am I making a costly mistake?

I’m only in my final semester of undergrad but I was in your same shoes and I will say it all works out. First of all, a 3.45 is pretty solid and you might have to study a lot but you’ll get through. A great thing with the co ops is they’ll show you you’re capable and you don’t need to be a master of theoretical stuff to succeed. Food and beverage is also a perfectly viable path for chem e’s and a good amount of people go that route. Also, I think it’s good to have different interests outside STEM it gives you a mental break. I only had a 3.3 and i’ve had a few internships and am working part time for a company now til I graduate and move full time bc they were impressed with my experience not that I wasn’t perfect in school. You’ll learn a lot on the job that you dont get in class! Also people skills go a long way and could help you get into a career path you like so you also have that on your side. I know how you feel I thought I was the dumbest one in my classes too but let yourself know it’s not true. Keep your head up and stay confident! Enjoy college while it lasts too! Best of luck
