Amazon burns through workers so quickly that executives are worried they'll run out of people to employ, according to a new report

There are a number of warehouses within an hour of where I live, so I know a lot of people who have worked for them, at various levels. They lie about a number of things. One of them is that they promote from within, which they rarely do. When they do, it is usually only very young people. They do just enough of it to be able to point at a few examples here and there, to keep people hopeful, but it doesn't take long for skilled workers to realize that they are in a dead-end job and move on. Experience, education, and job performance have little to do with it. In fact, being a dedicated, efficient worker won't really get you much of anything there.
