American Expat insults the ladies in Japan Town then lies about the reason why he did it. All I heard was "no camera" and "you're not allowed camera". If you are in that area, it's common knowledge to respect their privacy, even if it's not law. You are a guest in Vietnam

"Whether they are uploaded to the internet or not is irrelevant. The number of people an individual feels comfortable with seeing them is subjective to everyone.

I would argue that it's VERY relevant. Going outside in public with the expectation that some close circuit CCTV security cameras or traffic cams might pick me up every now and then is FUNDAMENTALLY different that some guy going up to my place of business to intentionally film and upload for his audience on Youtube.

I could be wrong, but I think the area he was filming at was private property, even though it was outdoors. If this is true, they have every right to not let him film.
Besides, I'm not sure the purpose of this thread is to argue for making filming, like what he's doing, illegal.

The point is to show he was lying about the people there "calling him an asshole" and mistreating him, when in fact it was he who was acting like an asshole and mistreating THEM.
