Americans Are 25 Times More Likely To Be Murdered With A Firearm Than People From Other Developed Countries

Indeed. No matter the situation, there is always room for improvement. I suppose gun control advocates think you would get big bang for buck (haha, sorry) with radical gun control programmes, and significant impact with tightening and unifying existing measures applied disparately

Indeed. Most people suggest quite simple and practical measures. Regulation. Not bans. Not buy backs. Limitations and common sense. Rules, safety, storage, responsibility. It all needs to be unified.

It seems to me libertarians accept the status quo, and concerned gun lovers are highly suspicious of any additional controls and offer no alternatives or funding pathways.

I don't really care what their feelings are. Refusing point blank (heh) to address the clear and present problem is childish and backwards. Denying facts is insane and misguided.

Correlation does not give you causation

This can be however statistically proven and analysed. It's dishonest to imply there's no such thing as correlation.

I'm not going to go into depth unless you can provide proper, real and valid examples but your defense of this "lies, damn lies and statistics" it is frankly going to border on anti-intellectualism and your understanding of any explanation is going to be tied to how much about statistics you actually understand.

It's all moot though, you are already uncomfortable with the gun death rate, so your attention should be on what should be done about it.

I'm more interested in getting folks to admit to see a problem.and having them address their conflicting sources, faulty logic and pathetic attempts at discourse.
