An 18-Year-Old Girl Died From a Synthetic Opioid She Bought Online. Here's How Portland Police Cracked the Case.

Really sad case, I have to say that the mother sounds very self-involved. She has a picture of herself as the second image. The only quote from her is about how SHE feels about it.

I have a mom like this too and also have almost died several times.

She lost custody of her daughter 3 years ago. Then her daughter "ran away from foster care", "where her mother says she'd been assaulted" to go back with her, and move cross country.. If true, what a fucking tragedy.. but do we really need to take her word for it? After all, she did lose custody, no judgment on that specifically but the state did that for a reason.

Shouldn't there have been a (criminal) investigation of the original foster home? Why would she be allowed to go back with the mother after that, instead of another foster home? I can't imagine them allowing her to move cross country with her daughter after her daughter ran away from foster care.

Her daughter had also stopped using until moving back to Portland it seems.. Really sad case, I'm not trying to bring disrespect to this girl who obviously was very troubled and just so young.

I guess I'm not sure what I'm trying to do.. I'm just angry that narcissistic parents like mine exist, and she looks like one to me :( normally I would think this and not post it but I want to know if I'm way off base here.
