An essay on time and our generation. I want every psychonaut to get in here and read this.

McKenna didn't predict the end of the world, he predicted that the rate of novelty, new things never seen before, would break out of the existing paradigm and effectively become infinitely more complex. That's a fairly important distinction.

The idea of times of great change is useless, though interesting from purely an intellectual standpoint. It should really have no affect on you, because you should always be acting like it is a renaissance, obviously. It gives the excuse to not act. Act fully at all times, not when you are "allowed to" or when it is expected. Don't wait for an invitation or the 4th generation. This 4th generation wave is the ebbing of the idiots. The good guys kept the ship going in the dark. Better to be a voice when there is none than just another enthusiast at the top of the wave. The wave is subconscious, act consciously as if it has eternally come.

I think as the recent past has been about the external world and how we interact with it, we need and will be forced to sway back to the self. Take an honest look and see that most problems are caused by people that can not bear to see things for what they are, they can not bear a moment of silence without internal torment. Everyone is faking it and everyone knows but things seem fine so everyone keeps going. Everyone.

Importantly, people hate themselves. People hate themselves and they hate others. They hate humanity, they hate living. They live simply out of spite, to beat the others before inevitable death, and they hate themselves for not hating enough. An inescapable death; that is what people want today. So they can have an excuse, so they don't just die, they are killed by something powerful. They want to live in pain so they can accept pity. Consumption, slow self destruction until it becomes unstoppable, until they can't live even if they wanted to. That is a noble death in their eyes; they can seem strong to be destroyed by such irreparable fate. But of course they weave their own web consciously and gave up long ago. But they can not show it, they take their indignity to the grave. But of course when death is unstoppable they finally taste life and it is too late to turn back. This is most people. Their hearts fucking explode with shards of crystal, from eating tortured beings. This is why they support the destruction of the planet, they are utterly miserable and wish for total destruction. They are doing their part to destroy all life and they do so consciously. So show them that you're good. Show them that at least one person does not kneel before death. You can not fake it; if you hate everything, realize it, don't go on half-heartedly, do something about it. What do you choose if you do not choose life for yourself?

If enough people stop the self-destruction, people will actually have a valid reason not to hate. Many rarely meet a single person that has not relinquished most of their life if they ever had it. This seems harsh, but it seems to be true. People can not be happy unless an endless number of requirements are met, and even then they are lost in their happiness to the point of intoxication and dissociation. One needs to realize that one is complete in one's self. One does not need to be affected by the rest. If all actively stab life repeatedly in the back, do not distress but instead transmute that energy into unconditional living. We didn't evolve for at least 4 billion fucking years to let someone else do it. I didn't evolve for 4 billion years to fucking roll over and kill myself. I have no desire to receive pity from an idiot. I make the right choices because they are right. I live because I choose to. I live in reality.
