I'm pretty sure I can handle white knuckle winter driving, I mean we get some serious snow up north Island like Mt. Washington area in the winter. Although it's way denser and heavier snow because it's so wet.

Here it's probably better in terms of restaurants and stuff evening open later. Home Depot, Walmart, superstore etc all open til 11. Driving wise it's actually pretty easy, like maybe a 15-20 minute commute from the Westshore to downtown.

Politics is meh I don't care. Victoria is super hippy, I mean our Mayor is a bike riding lesbian who doesn't own a car and even she's corrupted. There was some scandals with her so I'm used to shitty politicians no matter if they swing left or right LoL. BC Premier John. Horgan is rumoured to be linked to organized crime with Stu young (mayor of Langford in the Westshore) so you get shithead politics no matter what.
