Coyote Warning, Diseased animals

Post-bite treatment for rabies (called PrEP) is very, very effective. Rabies has an incubation time of months to a year sometimes but a person should get it checked out ASAP after the bite. Plus, most of us have been vaccinated for rabies. Nothing really happens to people with rabies in first world countries like Canada - when you get this shit in a third world country (where treatment is hard to get), you’re practically fucked.

You know what’s crazy - if a person gets bit and actually get hydrophobia, it’s almost 100% guaranteed death. By that point, your whole brain has been affected and there’s no cure to treat it. In fancy terms, they call hydrophobia the “marker of death” in rabies patients
