Never EVER hide it under your bed, that is the first place they will look. What you want to do is hide your stuff in a place they don't consciously know exists. For me, this was in a backpack they hadn't seen me use in years, which was then in my closet buried under other random stuff. They knew something was up and searched my room and never even thought to check it.

I would avoid putting your stuff anywhere that locks, it naturally draws suspicion and you don't want that. Just get creative with it, if you can think of the pertect spot instantly chances are they will, too.
