Estrogen without testosterone blockers?

The way things end up working down there on HRT, even monotherapy, can be relatively unpredictable. “Your mileage may vary” is so true that I wouldn’t put specific expectations on it. Like sure there are things you can try and stuff but I’ve seen people not have any “male” function on monotheraphy while I can have mostly full function when I feel like it and I take blockers.

Also if you want the fem effect you need low T regardless. So first you lower T at the same time as you build up E. Then if you want monotheraphy you go from there, but that’s not gonna guarantee anything in regards to how things respond to HRT. Blockers will result in more balanced hormone levels. Worse than not having your hormones where you want them is having the levels jump all over the place. That feels prettt messed up in my experience.

Your concern is super common pre-hrt. I was thinking in a very similar way before I went into it. The thing is, the experience itself is more valuable as an indicator of which way you want to go gender/sexuality wise than having a pre-conceived idea. Like per example I can top and all that, but I don’t really feel super compelled to, things have just gotten so much more interesting that using it in that way feels reductive and narrow/sighted as to how good things can be both by myself and with a partner.

Before hrt though I was really concerned with keeping things down there the way they were but honestly I wish I could have told myself to let things happen and see what I thought. Your mind plays a big role in things so if you are really that into using things a particular way it’ll probably stay pretty similar. But it might also not be what you had in mind and that might teach you something cool about yourself y’know?

Also yeah, using it so you don’t “lose” it does work.
