Anyone else get judged constantly for smoking weed by people who drink every night?

Since you asked, I just grew up around them doing it. My father more than my mother, but they never treated it like it was taboo. My dad smoking a joint in the garage was the same to me as if he was smoking a cigar. I never saw it as anything different than other things adults did like alcohol or tobacco. Drug education confused the hell out of me because they talked about how smoking weed just one time can kill you because it can be “laced” (nobody is going to lace an inexpensive drug with an expensive drug) or it can ruin your life. I didn’t buy it because my dad would smoke a joint and all he would do is giggle and snack on food. So growing up like I said it just was never a big deal to me at all.

Then my dad caught me smoking weed when I was like 14. He basically just schooled me on it, teaching me the differences between sativa and indica and just making sure I’m informed and know what I’m doing. He also showed me his stash and he sells to smoke for free, so we always had smoke at the house if I wanted some as long as I wasn’t greedy. Honestly after that point I didn’t start smoking again until I was around 18, and I think it was because I was never curious about it. Also, because my parents were so honest about it, they were also very honest about other drugs too, and because of that I never really had any interest in experimenting until I was around them all the time in college, and even then I never overdid it and was always super safe. Now whenever I’m home I usually end up smoking with both of my parents. We treat it like wine, no big deal, as it should be! I couldn’t be more grateful my parents raised me like this honestly.
