Why Are Ecchi Anime Considered Fan-service?

No you need to listen, holy shit, Im getting sick of repeating myself.

"Listen.

Most people refer to "fanservice" as panty shots, boobs, etc. in the English-speaking anime fandom. The evidence for this is in every website /u/Charlie_Steve linked you to earlier, and basically everyone in this thread.

This is not the same as us saying the actual definition of the term has changed.

This is also not the same us as saying "most fanservice is sexual"."

This is so fucking simple. Like I said, The people I were around never used the term in the way that this subreddit does. Second, you claimed that "most people in the English speaking fandom" used the word in a certain way. When you say English speaking fandom are you saying atleast 75% of the people that are a fan of anime refer to the word this way? The way that you believe? Do you know most of the people that watch anime? No you don't so shut the hell up with that claim.

Most people just use the term in this way.

"This should be simple for you to grasp. I believe you said you were in College earlier, so honestly, understanding this distinction should not be difficult.

You are wrong.

Deal with it."

No, most people don't use the term that way, even if you cite 3 or 4 websites, that means nothing. There are millions of anime fans. No one personally knows millions of people, no one...

Take your bullshit somewhere else.
