Are you in a happy relationship?

Early 40s and happily single after the end of a long term relationship 3 years ago. Kind of just fizzled out and neither of us were all that happy, I brought it up and she was relieved because she'd been feeling the same for awhile but didn't know how to approach it. So we took a break and both decided to call it a day after time apart.

Honestly, for the most part I love being single. Being able to do what I want, when I want but more importantly (and probably somewhat selfishly) I don't have anyone else to look after 24/7 ..and I mean that in the nicest possible way. Its not that it was ever a burden or anything, I just dont like the constant and something overwhelming responsibility and pressure that went with it. I mean from all senses, physically, mentally and financially.

I'm not sure its just me or because I hadnt met the right person but I felt I couldn't settle and be happy with I had. If that means leading a happier live alone, then so be it I guess. Equally if I do meet the right person eventually, then great!
