I wish people would shut up about Cross Faction play. Yeah, it's a little annoying when you find out a friend plays WoW and his main is on the opposing faction. That's about it though. We already have cross server play, make more max level characters and get over it.

The factions are one of the unique parts of WoW. Stop complaining. I hate when people just want to homogenize everything and remove all obstacles so everything is so simple and easy.

Celebrate the uniqueness, stop whining about it.

In terms of lore, maybe it could be handled better. But they're trying. There are many other complaints that I could come up with that show how dumb the storytelling is in this game that don't involve the faction conflict, and they'd be much better complaints. They'd be the best complaints. You wouldn't believe how great my complaints are.

Anyway I'm sure that halfway through the expansion they will forget about the Alliance/Horde conflict as we focus on big scary monsters. That will be one more instance of shitty storytelling. But I still think the gameplay aspect of having 2 factions is cool. Maybe they could even add a third faction.
