Not at all surprised you’re getting downvoted. Ubc has this odd superiority complex among some of the professors. There’s obviously a good chunk of great ones. But then there’s the ones (233 hint hint ) who spend years purposely being flat out despicable to their students and if you question things like this they go on a rant about how students don’t how to evaluate teaching and they aren’t perfect. I’ve literally had a professor in 1st year say students don’t know what good teaching is and that since they have tenure these evaluations don’t matter anyways so let’s all write something funny in them to see if they spot it. Even worse is the students downvoting you who buy into this nonsense and bootlick this behaviour any time they can.
