How Canada’s Foreign-Student Boom is Creating a Host of Problems

Public colleges at least (in some programs) provide a meaningful education these students can use.

Private colleges are a complete work visa scam against the government. They provide completely useless degrees, and education that is laughable, then push out these kids in to min wage jobs most locals are smart enough to avoid.

Most of these kids go back to their home countries having spent 10s of thousands on some stupid 6 month business program and worked in Earls washing dishes or taking out garbage in the meantime.

The education regulation sector has really dropped the ball. This has bled in to some public colleges as well like Langara, CapU, BCIT (some degrees) and KPU, they have pivoted to work visa programs. Providing the country with low cost labour while profiting.
