I worked on a project for a certain utility which shall go unnamed. This Hispanic guy I befriended tells me a story. He told me when he first started there he was drug tested multiple times in the first year. He started asking some of the white folk how many times they were tested and it was like once every year, every couple of years etc. He found a similar story with some of the other Hispanic guys. So at a town hall meeting with the CEO he asks how come Hispanics are drug tested way more than whites? They just said no, no it’s all random. He said my own research doesn’t align with that and listed the results of his informal survey. They didn’t say anything but after that he was rarely drug tested in line with everyone else.
