US armed forces Veterans

So i ets'd on june 14th I returened to home of record after my lease was up on the 22nd of june. On the 28th of june i went to my local college got all the info i needed to use my GI Bill. I was walked through all of the steps by a counselor.

At this point all i need is the (certificate of eligibility) from the VA

I registered for classes on the 14th of june for a fall semester.

It is now August 1st. I haven't received anything. The school thankfully let me have my fees waived just by using the aplication number.

The VA has told me that as long as i go to school i will be getting fees waived and my BAH. So im covered with or without that letter.

So whats my problem? My wife and i have had to move into my parents house untill we get the ball rolling on this school. Naturally we want our own place again. We have found a perfect little house that we want and can afford but part of the application process is proving income. My wife makes about 2500 a month and i make 0 at this point rent is 1050 a month. Like most places they want 3 times the rent. The land lord has said that if i show them my (certificate of eligibility) all is good and we can move in.

I have spoken to the VA every day sense the 28th of june to check the status. They have said the same thing over and over again. " were waiting on a response from the dod and as soon as we get that we can mail you the certificate".

Last friday i called and had a VA rep tell me it was being mailed. Getting my hopes up. Today i called and they told me that same shit they told me before. Still waiting on the DOD.

Im just stuck. Is their a way to call the DOD to see what the fucking hold up is? Iv tried the main number and i cant speak to a person just leave a message. I want to speak to a person from the DOD.

i dont want to lose this house.
