Asmongold about negativity in wow community

This is rather well put together in my opinion. As for player feedback I do think it generally depends. I've seen a lot of fair and just criticism for WoW (and have even had some myself) but I've also seen a lot of:

"This game is dead!"

"Why do you say that?"

"[Class] isn't fun anymore!"

"Okay, when was it fun and why?"

"[Insert patch where class was broken and completely braindead here]"

But Zack makes some excellent points here and a lot I generally agree with.

Torghast - whilst I find it fun - I think could be a lot more fun if they took some risks. Roguelikes are usually insane, up the ante a bit!

Raids are great, but I want to do more than raids.

Honor gear is back which makes me quite happy.

But I'm absolutely tired of borrowed power mechanics. We didn't need them in Vanilla, or BC, or Wrath, or Cataclysm, or MoP, and heck even Draenor didn't really have one (though Draenor was a mess in a lot of other categories.) I, ironically, want free time to play the game.

I don't need an anima system to get me to log in, I just need some fun instances and a reason to run them.

I think another issue Zack didn't make is simple - Blizzard has waaaay too many irons in the fire right now. They try to appeal to everyone in some fashion then, ironically, appeal to absolutely nobody.
