Australian investing in the US?

You should look into incorporating in US to access the real estate market. It's fairly easy to create a local company which will act as your vehicle to real estate or any other assets. There are many ways to do this. You can google and research it for yourself. Ideally, you should incorporate a company with least amount of limited liability.

Be aware of local property taxes and upkeep expenses if you choose to go all in. Also, beware tenancy/rental laws of the state you choose to buy in, that is if you'd like to rent out your property. You need to get a property manager or a company to look after your properties. I like to keep a close eye, so I suggest installing exterior facing ip cameras outside the house for security and liability reasons.
