That average includes billionaires and the ultra wealthy. There are plenty of people in large cities in expensive states bringing home $500,000 and more. They also get taxed like crazy and live in high cost-of-living areas. All the doctors I know make $500k+ a year. Fucking DO’s and an anesthesiologist I know make even more, they just work constantly.

There are not 3.3 Million CEO’s making $1.7M every year. The 1% is not the “CEO Class”. In every major city you’ll have people with upper-middle class jobs making a 1% income due to location and population. I have family who are in the 1% and extended family (never met them) who make more as farmers.
