This is a perfect comment because it encapsulates the time-starved, hardworking American who can't be bothered with any news that can't be summed up in 8-second sound bytes. It's no secret that said sound-bytes are entirely manufactured to manipulate the populace and appeal to America's stubborn sense of self-reliance. As a result, Americans are programmed to hate things that are actually in the people's best interest. This is most effectively accomplished by turning the people against one another. The American people could have a lot more than "free" healthcare if enough of us were educated enough to stand up to the oligarchs who run this country. It doesn't matter what side of the aisle you are on, if you vote for candidates who refuse corporate, lobby, and big-money contributions, you did your homework as far as I'm concerned. We may already be passed the point of no return, but giving up is for pussies... and tenacity is the real American way.
