No family help now or in the future. Anyone else?

I'd say I share in some of the struggles of a first generation immigrant as well, but also benefit from the transfer. I acknowledge, with a deep gratitude the advantage I have been given going into adulthood, but also remember what it was like to get by with very little and sometimes by the kindness of strangers.

I'm just not sure that those who have had several generations in Canada automatically get lumped into the group where wealth transfer happens. That assumes the parents are astute with their savings, that they themselves made a good living, and that they took advantage of the housing boom (the last one is most likely, admittedly). Finally, it also assumes there aren't numerous siblings to split the inheritance.
